We’re thrilled to share some updates on what happened in June, our plans for the future, as well as highlights from our Partners Assembly #2.

About Blockchain For Good Alliance (BGA)

Blockchain for Good Alliance (BGA) is dedicated to using blockchain technology to address some of society's most pressing challenges. As a long-term collaborative non-profit initiative, our mission is to harness the transformative potential of blockchain to solve real-world problems for societal good. By bringing together a diverse range of partners, we aim to create innovative solutions that drive meaningful change.

Our Key Areas of Focus

Hackathons and Demo Days

We encourage organizers to add a Blockchain for Good track and provide multifaceted resource support. Winning projects from this track will be invited to compete in our ultimate BGA hackathon.

Projects Incubation

We offer light, moderate, and intensive support to eligible projects, including marketing, branding, community development, resource matching, grants, and investment support.

Recent Developments

Since our launch on April 15 at Token2049 in Dubai, we've expanded our network to over 50 global partners. We've initiated the Web3Key Fund and the BGA Incubator, supporting six key projects focused on social issues. Additionally, we've sponsored numerous hackathons worldwide to discover more visionary builders.

Partner Assembly #2 Highlights

On July 4th, we held our second BGA Partner Assembly at our Gather Town space:

BGA Steering Committee

To streamline our efforts, we've established an updated BGA Steering Committee. Here is a summary:

• Hackathon: Led by Bu Zhi DAO and KK from Moledao.
• Projects and Incubation: Led by Aidana from Haya Venture Studios and Phoebe from Bybit.
• Funding: Led by Trigger VC and Coco from Moledao.
• Marketing: Led by Mickey from Bitcoin.com, Joy from Moledao, and Vinice from ByBit.
• Partnership: Led by SIA, ICCafe, Daniel and Coco from Moledao.

Hackathon

June Track Events:

• Debox SocialPlus: On June 17th, BGA, in collaboration with DeBox and Moledao, hosted the launch AMA for the SocialPlus 100K+ Prizes Hackathon!
• Xuedao Online Workshop: On June 17th, BGA and Aptos, along with XueDao, hosted CONNECT Series 2, an online BGA track Q&A workshop in Taiwan!
• Xuedao Onsite Workshop: From June 28th-30th, our partner Allan flew to Taiwan to participate in offline hackathon sessions as a Demo Day Judge. He also attended a series of educational sessions, workshops, and after-parties and conducted in-depth interviews with Taiwanese students.

Future Track Events:

• ICP Hack to Future Demo Day: Happening on July 8th at the BGA Gather Town Space.
• Adventure X: Happening from July 15th-19th.

Light Incubation Projects:

• Libera: Utilizes AI and blockchain to digitize retail transactions in emerging markets.
• Edu3Labs: Leverages blockchain for education, facilitating crypto payments and transactions.
• ChainHealth: Uses blockchain technology to transform global health.
• PWR Chain: Aims to create an ecosystem as broad and interconnected as the internet.

Moderate Incubation Projects:

• Fizen.io: Enhances the ability to spend and accept cryptocurrency for users and businesses.
• My Lovely Planet: A Web3 mobile game for environmental protection, planting real trees through in-game actions.
